Jenny Tan, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2018, graduating with Honors and earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Baylor University. Dr. Tan is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and certified Glaucoma Specialist who is passionate about treating and managing ocular surface and dry eye disease. She is also an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Tan completed externship rotations at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas and Advanced Eye Care in Amarillo, where she trained extensively in diagnosing and managing various ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Her training has provided expertise in primary eye care, contact lenses, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK.
Dr. Tan has always been drawn to a field of healthcare where she can build meaningful relationships with patients and impact their well-being. Optometry allows her to do just that. By developing a strong bond with her patients and addressing their eye health needs, her job is incredibly fulfilling as she witnesses the positive impact on their lives. Knowing that she can help patients see and feel better so they can experience all the beauty in the world gives her a deep sense of fulfillment. She also loves building strong relationships with her patients and getting to know them personally to work together to find the best solutions for them.
When Dr. Tan is not treating patients, she enjoys traveling, meditating, and practicing mindfulness.
